Tearing apart the Serveta    (February 2011)

And who doesn't tear apart a vintage scooter in their living room?

I bought Sticky's manual. Officially known as "The Complete Spanner's Manual: Lambretta Scooters" Second Edition. and skimmed it cover to cover. Then I went back and read carefully the disassembly process. Then more skims, more reads. Worth it. There's a specific order to taking things apart and knowing that order is more than a little helpful.

Chloe was surprisingly tolerant of me using the living room as a garage. Bet I'll have to let her ride it.

Serveta with the fender and covers off.
Starting the tear down. See the Cazenave moped in the back?

Inside of the Serveta's head set.
Electrical Spaghetti. I labeled the bejeezus out of it.

Serveta throttle assembly.
Should be no problem to put back. Right?

Serveta striped down.
Only the engine and front wheel left on.
