Comments:

The Zundapp Norma-Luxus was the luxury model produced at the end of the Norma life cycle. I bought this as part of a (3) Zundapp package with the 1959 Super Sabre and the Challenger (cream one in pic). My friend took the Challenger while I kept the other two. He has his running already.

I would love to know the history of this Norma-luxus. It was painted at some point with the metallic root beer which shows through in places. It was repainted black later. It has hay and oil and dirt in cracks and crevices. It also sports a German auto club sticker (ADAC) and a medallion for a dealership in Germany (now a McDonalds).

The U-shaped seat support has proved impossible to find. I saw one on Germany's ebay. I bid then got distracted and someone sniped me and won it. A fellow Zundapp enthusiast said I could borrow his to get one made, so I took it to a blacksmith who forged a new one. He forged some other things while I watched which was great fun.

I needed new fork seals and they are non-existant. I had a set of very hard NOS ones so I sent them to Clauss Studios who made a mold and now sells them.
