Stick figures of Chloe, Andrew and Henderson with their camper parked in front of Blue Mountain beside the Susquehanna River. Playful Curiosity.

RIXE T-26 PROJECT

Work done:
- Repainted
- Chrome re-plated
Needs:
- Hand painted fender pattern
- Pinstripe cream sections
- Wheels built
- Final assembly

Rixe T-26 as found

Notes:

This was my first Rixe. My plan is to make it a rider - paint it, rebuild the wheels with a 5-speed hub and better front hub brakes, and actually use it.
Looking at it now, the paint was pretty good and I probably should have kept it original and done a restoration. Then I could have bought one of the many of these that aren't in great shape to do a renovation.

Lesson learned. Not a total loss. That green and cream is gorgeous.

The bike is disassembled and stored in a closet currently. The build is on hold until we move and have room to store another completed tandem.
